Privacy Policy

Queens Palace (“the App”) is developed by Vexloft (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the App and our partners handle when you play on iOS. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Queens Palace never asks for your real name, email address or phone number. We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location or any content from your device.

The rankings run on our own server. The first time the App connects, the server creates an anonymous rankings account: a random identifier and a secret key. The key is kept in the App and in your own iCloud account so a new install on the same iCloud account returns to the same rankings account. There is no password and no email.

The server stores the username you choose (optional; players without one are shown as “Player #1234”) and, for every puzzle you solve, the puzzle, the solved board, the time, the number of mistakes and hints and when it was solved. This is used only to compute and show the rankings and to keep them fair. Your username and scores are visible to other players in the rankings.

Players can report a username; names reported by several players are hidden. You can change your username once every 30 days. You can delete your rankings account at any time in Settings → Delete rankings account: your username, results and scores are removed from our server. Your game progress on your device stays.

Your progress, settings, purchases record and Royal Pass data are stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud account(iCloud key-value storage) so they follow you across your Apple devices. This data lives in your iCloud account; we cannot access it. Apple's privacy policy applies to iCloud.

If you are signed in to Game Center, your achievements and scores are sent to Apple. Your Game Center identity is not sent to us or to any other server.

The free version of the App shows ads between levels and optional rewarded ads, provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, advertising interaction data, coarse location derived from your IP address and diagnostic data in order to serve and measure ads.

Before the first ad, iOS asks whether the App may track you (App Tracking Transparency). If you allow it, AdMob may use your advertising identifier (IDFA) to show personalised ads. If you decline, only non-personalised ads are requested. You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

The one-time “Remove Ads” purchase turns off ads between levels. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy.

To understand how the game is played and to balance difficulty, the App sends anonymous gameplay events to PostHog, such as level started or completed, mode, board size, difficulty, time, number of mistakes and hints, ads watched and the product ID of a purchase. Events carry the app and iOS version and a random identifier created by the analytics SDK on install.

These events do not contain your name, email, Game Center identity or any contact information, are not linked to you, and are not used for advertising. Session recording is turned off.

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. The App verifies purchases on your device.

If you turn on the daily reminder, the App schedules a local notification on your device. We do not use push notifications and do not collect a push token.

Deleting the App removes its data from your device. Data synced to iCloud can be removed in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage. Your rankings account is kept until you delete it in the App (Settings → Delete rankings account), which removes it from our server right away. Because analytics data is anonymous, we cannot link it to a specific person; you can still contact us and we will help where we can.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what data is processed about you, to request its deletion and to object to processing for advertising. Contact us at vexloftstudio@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
